Are the Holidays a Good Time to Sell

Are the holidays a good time to sell? Many sellers avoid listing their home during the holidays but many real estate agents know that the holidays are actually a great time to sell!

Because most people think that the holidays are a bad time to sell, that means that there is a lower inventory during this time which is good for the sellers who do list their home. A lower inventory can create competition for the available homes which can drive up the prices that people are willing to pay. Buyers who are serious about buying a home during this time of the year may be more motivated to find a home and might be willing to pay a higher price. 

The end of the year is a popular time for companies to transfer employees to other locations so those employees will be on the lookout for a home in their new city. These employees tend to be well qualified and highly motivated. 

Another plus is that your home will show well when it is decorated for the holidays. Decorated homes feel warm and welcoming! Buyers often buy a home based on how a home makes them feel. 

Less competition, more motivated buyers, and your home looking it's best is a powerful combination to help you get the best price for your home.
