Key Steps in the Home Selling Process
If you are considering selling your home but are not sure of the process, here are a few keys steps that you should remember.
First, choose a realtor to help you. Next, consult your realtor to help you understand what your house is worth and what a reasonable asking price would be. Ask them for suggestions on how you make your home the most appealing to buyers.
Once you sign the listing agreement and complete the Sellers Disclosure Report, your realtor will begin to market your home. Cooperate in helping them prepare for open houses and showings. Your realtor will help you review and negotiate offers from buyers.
Once you accept an offer, prepare for a home inspection and a home appraisal from the buyer's lender. At this point, the process is almost complete. Get prepared to move! Documents will be prepared for your closing and the buyer will complete a final walk through. The buyer and seller will both sign all of the closing documents and the legal right to your property will not transfer over to the buyer in exchange for their payment.
Your realtor will be with you every step of the way to help you navigate the process and answer and of your questions.
