The Home Buying Process During a Pandemic

What does the home buying process look like since COVID? I'm here to tell you!

Just because the COVID crisis has forced more and more people to stay at home, does not mean that you should put off your home buying plans. Here are a few steps that you should take so that once the crisis diminishes, you will be ready!

First, you need to be pre-approved! A pre-approval is important for several reasons. A mortgage broker will give you a clear picture of what you can financially handle. It will also show sellers that you are serious about buying. While you are at home, you will want to gather up the proper paperwork. You will need proof of your income, your credit score, and asset documentation. Stein Team Realty can help you reach out to lenders to complete the pre-approval process.

Connect remotely with an agent. Now more than ever, it is important to have a knowledgeable agent to help guide you through the process. 

Make sure you do your research. Right now there are many down payment support schemes available to home buyers. Look online for programs available in your area. 

Browse through listings online to see what is available, what is in your price range, and what interests you. Many listings now include a virtual tour that can give you a great perspective of that home.
